Lyndell Lucille Escue

Lyndell Lucille Escue, 88, of So. Charleston went home to be with the Lord Monday March 30, 2009 at home surrounded by family and friends after a long illness.  She was preceded in death by her son Charles and parents, Mac and Minnie Nicholas.  Lyndell was one of the oldest members of Briar Creek Missionary Baptist Church.

She is survived by her husband of 67 years, Howard. Daughter; Carol (Charles) Lavender of Gainsville, Florida. Son; David (JuLea) Escue of Charleston. Two sisters; Joceline Kinder of Florida and Maxine Riggs of Sumerco. Brother Lowell Gene Nicholas of Florida. Four Grandchildren; Lisa Walker, Randy Lavender, Susan Weingart and Timothy Escue. 9 Great Grandchildren.

Funeral service will be 2:00 PM Thursday April 2, at Curry Funeral Home 2097 Childress Road Alum Creek with Pastors Gene Pauley and Tommy Roberts officiating. Burial will be in the Forks of Coal Memorial Park Alum Creek. Family and friends will gather from 6 to 8 PM Wednesday at the funeral home.  In lieu of flowers donation may be made to HospiceCare 1606 Kanawha Blvd. Charleston, WV 25312-2536.
