John Samuel Wilson, Jr., of South Charleston passed away Friday, March 6, 2009 at Thomas Memorial Hospital after a short illness.  He was a welder at FMC, South Charleston with over 30 years service; a WWII Navy Veteran serving in the Atlantic & Pacific Theaters on the U.S.S. Fanning.  John was preceded in death by his brothers: Oscar, Dave, Jim & Bob Wilson; and sister, Thelma Turley.

He is survived by his wife: Mabel; 4 Sons: Shane, Dave, John Samuel III & Robert; Step-daughter: Carol Morrison; 10 Grandchildren and 5 Great Grandchildrend.

Service will be 2:00 pm Tuesday, March 10, 2008 at Curry Funeral Home, 2097 Childress Road, Alum Creek with Pastors Charles Kidd and Gene Pauley officiating. Burial will be in Cunningham Memorial Park, St. Albans with Military Graveside Honors conducted by Benny Padilla VFW Post 4768. Friends may call Monday from 6 to 8 pm at the funeral home.
