McCalister PhotoMelissa “Lisa” Wandling McCallister, 53, of Sod, went home to be with the Lord, Thursday, January 7, 2016 at CAMC-Memorial Hospital after a sudden illness.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, “Micki” Dempsey.

She was a dedicated employee of One Stop, Alum Creek, and was a member of the Assembly of the Redeemed in Charleston.

She is survived by her husband: Ronald “Rollo”, Daughter: Ashley (Josh) Chaney; Sons: Shawn (Alisha) and Cecil (Jami) McCallister; parents: Robert “Frog” & Rosalie Wandling; brother: R. Scott (Shana) Wandling; sister: Lori (Greg) Carpenter and ten grandchildren:  Joshua II, Isaiah and Damian Chaney, Bailey and Mackenzie Kushner who are being raised by their adoptive parents David and LaDonna Kushner, Keagan, Natalie and Rosalie McCallister, Arron and Adam Johnson, nieces and nephews: Haley and Colby Carpenter, Olivia and Gabrielle Wandling and many other relatives and friends.

Friends may visit with the family from 3:00 to 4:00pm. Monday, January11, 2016 at Curry Funeral Home Alum Creek. A private memorial service will be held at a later date.

Melba SaulMelba Mae Saul, 81, of Sod went home to be with the Lord Thursday, December 31, 2015 at Lincoln Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Hamlin.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Bobby Saul; son, Ronnie Saul; grandson, Jeremy Saul; sisters, Eldean Nunn, Faye Laza, and Bonnie Cline; and brothers, Elmer, Wilmer and Bobby Clark.

Melba is survived by son, Rick (Penny) Saul; daughter, Shirley (Kessil) Justice; sisters, Bessie Fowler and Mary Dunlap; brother, Howard Clark; and 10 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandson.

Service will be 2:00 p.m. Sunday, January 3, 2016 at Curry Funeral Home, Alum Creek, with Pastors Dwight McClure and Frank Chapman officiating.  Burial will follow at Lively Cemetery.  The family will receive friends 1 hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
