Margaret C. (Peggy) Gee

Peggy and her late husband, Fred, served with Child Evangelism Fellowship in Kanawha, Boone and Clay counties for 19 years.  Peggy was a member of the Bible Center School staff where she served in several roles.  She also taught pre-school at Elk Valley Christian School and Faith Missionary Baptist School.  She most recently retired from Kohl’s department store.  She was a member of Bible Center Church where she worked with children’s ministries for many years.

Peggy is survived by her children, Craig Gee and wife, Carlotta, of Gauley Bridge; Steven Gee and wife, Jean, of Suriname; Marylynn Saloiye and husband, John, of South Charleston; Kathleen Jansohn and husband, Fred, of Atlanta, GA; Carolyn McMillen and husband, Michael, of South Charleston; Jon Gee and wife, Deborah of Sacramento, CA; 17 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren, brother, James Catling, of Florida and sister, Nancy Klischies of New Jersey.

A remembrance celebration will be held at 3:30pm, Saturday March 9th, at Bible Center Church Southridge Campus.  In lieu of flowers, we request that contributions be made online to the Peggy Gee Memorial Fund at www.peggygeememorial.com  This money will be distributed to the missionaries that Peggy supported monthly.

Mary Lou (Dunlap) Hudson

Mary Lou (Dunlap) Hudson 88 of Ruth left this world Thursday February 28th 2013 to join her family and friends in our next life with her Savior Jesus Christ.

Born October 23, 1924.  She was the daughter of the late Mary Elizabeth and Frank Dewitt Dunlap.

Mary Lou was retired from the West Virginia State Library Commission and a member of Davis Creek Church of the Nazarene where she loved to teach Sunday School class and operated the Church Library for many years.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 66 years Raymond Hudson, daughter Regina Gomer sister Elma Lee Hudson and Brother Edgar “Corkey” Dunlap.

Surviving daughters Neva Horne-husband Cecil of South Charleston, Myrna Gatrost-husband Gary of Winston-Salem, NC.  Son-in-law Jim Gomer of Nashville TN. Grand children Susan Burgess, John Horne, Jamie Gomer, Jennifer Gomer, Bobby Hudson and Beth Gatrost. Great Grand children Hannah Burgess, Brandon Gomer, and John Alan Horne.

Curry Funeral Home of Alum Creek will be servicing the Hudson Family, with a memorial service to be held 2:00 pm Sunday, March 3rd at Curry  Funeral Home 2097 Childress Road Alum Creek, with Rev. Franklin Goff officiating.  The family will receive friends 1 hour before the service.

Mary’s final resting place will be following the memorial at Fox Hill Cemetery on Spring Hill Mountain along side of her Husband, Mother, Grand Parents and Great Grand Parents.

The family would like to thank the staff of Valley Nursing Home for the wonderful and loving care given to Mary Lou during the last 5 years.
