Mary Frances Sheets, 71, of South Charleston, went home to be with the Lord, her family and friends who had gone on before her, Sunday, December 10, 2006

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ernest and Flocie Childress and sisters, Margaret Martini, Addie Jo Snyder and Harriett C. Rubin.

She was a retired engineer for the C&P Telephone Company, a member of the Pioneer’s Club and a member of the Davis Creek Church of the Nazarene.

She is survived by one son, Joe Cunningham of So Charleston and his girlfriend, Patience DeWeese of Charleston; sister, Mildred Johnson of Ruthdale; brother, Ernest Herman Childress, Jr. of Chesapeake, Virginia and best friend, Bubber the beagle.

Services will be 8:00 PM on Thursday, December 14, 2006 at the Davis Creek Church of the Nazarene with Pastors Larry Conway and Les Snodgrass officiating. Friends may call from 6 to 8 PM on Thursday at the church.

A graveside service will be held at the Graceland Memorial Park Mausoleum, South Charleston, on Friday at 2:00 PM.

Floyd W. Hensley, 86, of Sissonville, died Monday, December 4, 2006 at Hubbard Hospice House after a long illness.

He was a member of the Plumber and Pipefitters Local 625.

He is survived by his:

Special Care Giver: Joyce Cook;

Step son: Terry Gibson;

2 Sisters: Nellie Muche and Goldie;

2 Brothers: Troy and Duel Hensley;

There will be no service or visitation.

Jean Marie Peterson

Jean Marie Peterson, 84, of Charleston, died Friday, December 1, 2006 in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida as a result of an accident.

She was a devoted and loving wife, mother and grandmother.

She is survived by her sons, Robert Peterson of Yawkey, Rick Peterson of Charleston, and Randall

Peterson, MD of Scott Depot; brother, Robert Watson of Clearfield, Pennsylvania; seven grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

Services will be held at Curry Funeral Home, 2097 Childress Road, Alum Creek, on Saturday, December 9, 2006 at 2:00 PM with Pastor Frank Chapman officiating. Entombment will be held at Graceland Memorial Park Mausoleum, South Charleston. Friends may call on Friday from 6 to 8 PM at the funeral home.
