HE WAS A MACHINIST IN THE NEWSPAPER BUSINESS AND WAS EMPLOYED WITH THE CHARLESTON NEWSPAPERS FOR 18 YEARS, WAS AN ARMY VETERAN AND HE WAS PRECEDED IN DEATH BY HIS FATHER, CREED B. WADE AND HIS BROTHER, STANLEY D. WADE.

HE IS SURVIVED BY HIS: MOTHER AND STEP-FATHER: BUNA BL BERT HENSLEY OF BRADINGTON, FL 2 BROTHERS: JACKIE WADE OF PINCH, WV; CREED BUSTER WADE OF LIBERTY, IN; 2 SISTERS: MARY ELIZABETH MILLER OF FLORENCE, AL; DREAMA PARKS OF BRADINGTON, FL;

HE WAS A HIGHLY DECORATED WWII ARMY VETERAN RECEIVING THE BRONZE STAR, TWO PURPLE HEARTS, ETO MEDAL WITH FIVE BATTLE STARS, ONE SILVER STAR AND WWII VICTORY MEDAL, GOOD CONDUCT MEDAL, MARKSMAN BADGE WITH RIFLE BAR, REVOLVER SHAPSHOOTER MEDAL. HE WAS A MEMBER OF THE ALUM CREEK VFW POST #4768, A LIFE MEMBER OF THE D.A.V. AND THE MILITARY ORDER OF THE PURPLE HEART, A MEMBER OF THE AMERICAN LEGION VETERANS OF THE BATTLE OF THE BULGE. DUE TO INJURIES RECEIVED IN WWII HE RECEIVED DISABILITY RETIREMENT AT AGE 50 FROM THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT WHERE HE WORKED AS A CLERK. HE ATTENDED GRACE BAPTIST TEMPLE IN ST ALBANS.
